B7 webcomic panels 1-4 by cheeks-74 B7 webcomic panels 1-4 by cheeks-74
*Edit* Shifting some panels around. The panel that was in panel 4 will be on the following page. I did it for pacing reasons. :)

Heya gang. I promised ya a sneak peak, so here ya go. Recently, I have been trying to mess around with sketch-up. Man, it's a great tool for laying out panels. Still have a lot more to learn, but I LOVE it. :)

Big thanks to Mark Smith for helping me in the earlier development of B7.

I'd like to introduce my pal, J.Torres who's taking primary writing chores to push me creatively for the B7 webcomic.

J. Torres is the writer of the recently released graphic novel Lola: A Ghost Story and is a contributor to the Wall-E and Batman: The Brave and the Bold comic book series. J. first worked with me on Teen Titans Go. Visit him at [link]

To tell ya the truth J. is so awesome he recently competed in the no-man bobsled competition at the Winter Olympics and won gold, silver, bronze and the lottery too.

So here's a conceptual peek and more to come in the near future!

Please don't beat me up on the text, It's just for your reading pleasure. :P

Hope y'all digs!

that bridge is technically amazing... did you just freehand it or use a model?

Is this for an animated type of page view? Coz I'm just wondering what's the reason of making panels like that.. hehe.. =)

Very nice! But maybe black font or a blue (to go with your white bg's) would be easier to read?

Not being a dick, its still great work.

Lookin good Cheeks. You'll be sure to use a more legable font when everything goes into production correct?
Also, this gonna be an animated project as well or am I misunderstanding soemhing?
I know its a comic and I know there is at least a figurine of Kuta. But, is it also gonna be an animated series?

Awesome, can't wait to read this story to be honest. What I've seen so far character and scenery-wise, it looked pretty original :D Plus as a web-comic it's bound to get epic! :D

great stuff man just a quick question do you plan on doing the comic in this wide screen format for say the web which would be awesome? I'm just curious of why the wide format rather than comic pg thumb nail layouts.

thanks, Tom! it's preference more than anything. i want to try and stage cinematically.

yeah cool I can understand that. I just also figured that the cinematic format works very well for web comics on phones and the like, where you only see one panel at a time. I realize that in a few short years we will be able to see the whole pg actual size but the mobil market will always be a panel at a time. plus your stuff always has a larger more expansive feel.
