IIII Am E'veryday People.... by cheeks-74 IIII Am E'veryday People.... by cheeks-74
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII..... am everyday peopllllle. See I was sittin in the park mindin' my own (my own).

Ahhhh good ol' "Arrested Developement". Man I loved that group.

Welp, gang, here are some takes I drew of some older type folks I took pics of at the Sawdust festival. I rarely draw looking from life, but dang, is it refreshing. People have all kinds of cool shapes don't they? It makes ya wonder what their story is, huh?

In other news, I survived San Diego Comicon! WOWSERS was that a con or what?! Thank you, everbody, who made it out to our booth, and to the Spider-man Animated panel. I hope you liked the sneakpeek into season 2.

I brought 500 books and took home 70. Thank you to everyone who made that happen!!! You should have seen my car pulling into San Diego Wednesday afternoon. One would have mistaken it to be a lowrider. 17 boxes, some luggage and a dolly on top of the car will do that to ya. HAHAHA

This weekend I will be mailing out more online orders of the book. I am still gathering shipping info for those interested, and I will post them soon, so anyone else may purchase it.

Hope you all made it home safe and sound, and see you all next year at San Diego Comicon 2009!

Hope y'all digs!

It's a dwindling art. imo =) Too many artists nowadays are learning to draw from comic books than from real life.

Glad to know you had fun at the con. =D

Hey man...

1-Greetings from Panama.

2-Nice sketches. I used to go to the bus station here in panama with my friend/fellow animator Pedro and just sit on the stairways and sketch people go by. It is an amazing exercise.

3-Really hoping to see The Spec Spidey down here in the 507 soon.

Rawk on.

I find it incredible how you can take real person and transfer them into your style perfectly without them losing their characteristics.
Haha. One day, one day, I'll figure out the secret.

Until then, loving them shapes.

I love everyday people characters. There seems to be a lack of damn hence, I think, they can be considered pretty original nowadays.
And you did these really well, they really look naturally normal. Two thumbs up

Really nice work. I don't think it would've hurt to extenuate some of their features a bit, but that might not've been what you were going for. But yeah, really nice. :)

It's so strange, when I'm driving (well, not me driving, but you know what I mean), I look at all the vehicles around me, and think "damn, what could their life story been? Did they ever meet their father? Are they an only child?", then I come up with some huge history for them that's probably 100% wrong.

It's a bad habit of mine. xD

dude i like your style and i can't compare to it since you usually have perfect scale proportion and anatomy but i have to say that in this sketch your female on the far right looks like a burly dude with boobs, although if that's someone from the con then its quite possible that it is (in fact) a dude....
