Did you model it in a 3d program (maya, 3dsmax, blender whatever) then render that image out in the angle needed for reference to get it so nice and accurate? I honestly think its such a smart way of doing things such as props and vehicles really! Plus most of the cartoons these days have the vehicles done in 3d anyways
