Who likes dem some trigun action? I do...I do!!! I wantd to capture Vash acting like a numbskull. I wanted to push depth in the simplist form with my lineart and colors. Hope it's effective, and if not help a brutha out! hehehe Hope ya'll digs.
hehe... defintely cute. i'm diggin' the pose on vash
you've got awsome perspective and good colors in general. you've got the whole "atmospheric perspective" thing going with the purplish tones in the background, but then you've got the same dulled-down quality to the colors in the foreground. the dulled-down color seems to be a signature mark of yours (which, i gotta say, i love), but in something like this you might wanna push it a little more for your middle ground and points of focus. like vash's coat is bright red... make it bright red(well... brighter, at least)! especially if he's the subject. and the rocks with the rabbit off to the right... as an extreme foreground element, make it dark...almost a siloughette. compositional elements like that create negative space and can help frame your subject, while also helping to create foreground, middle ground and background.
otherwise, looks great! haven't seen you around here in a while... good to have you back

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
